The Australian Grand Prix will once again be held at the Albert Park Street Circuit, or Albert Park, in 2023. On April 2, the lights will go out in Melbourne.
The Albert Park Street Circuit features fourteen corners and has a moderate length of just 5.3 kilometers. Prior to the 2022 Australian Grand Prix, the circuit underwent significant changes, with several corners in the first sector made faster. The chicane of former turns 9 and 10 was removed, and the circuit boasts an unprecedented four DRS zones, setting it apart on the calendar.
With his debut in Australia, Verstappen drove in the points for a long time until the Renault engine had no more appetite. Once in the Red Bull, the circuit was not a favorite for Max Verstappen. In his early years with the team, he drove himself to a fifth place and a sixth place. Only in 2019 did the Dutchman manage to drive himself onto the podium, chasing the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton. Perhaps 2021 is the year in which Verstappen can strike, provided Red Bull has its affairs in order from the start of the season.
